The Official Closing of NTAAC

NTAAC started out as just a few art conservators in Dallas having lunch together to shoot the breeze. Over the years it expanded to monthly meetings with members coming from all over East Texas. Newbees and old hands coming together to talk,  pass on information, get advice and eat with people who cared about glue and fixing things.

After 10 years the board members decided it was time to bring on a new board, to open NTAAC up to the next group of up and coming art conservators. Unfortunately COVID has other plans and NTAAC was put on hiatus. After multiple attempts to restart the group we have decided to put NTAAC on the shelf.

It would be nice to see a new group of East Texas art conservators, museum technicians, art handlers, and art appraisers start having lunches together. In the meantime look to AIC and  TX-CERA for those like minded people.

Adue,

Brad Ford Smith
